PixeMaker ("we", "us", or "our") operates this website, which provides a free, browser-based pixel art and sprite editor (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you visit our website and use the editor.

By using PixeMaker, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information we handle

PixeMaker is designed to work without an account. You can open the editor and start creating right away.

Content you create: Your drawings and editor settings are stored locally in your browser (see Section 3) and stay on your device.
Basic technical data: As with any website, our hosting provider processes standard request information (such as your IP address and browser type) to serve the pages and keep the site secure.
Information you send us voluntarily: If you email us (for example, via our Contact page), we receive whatever information you choose to include, such as your email address and message.

3. Your artwork & local storage

Your pixel art stays on your device. PixeMaker saves your current project, palette, and preferences (such as your light/dark theme choice) in your browser's local storage, so your work is there when you return.

Because this data lives in your browser, clearing your browser's storage or using private/incognito mode may remove your saved work. To keep a permanent copy of anything you create, export it as a PNG, sprite sheet, or GIF.

4. Third-party services

To deliver the site, we rely on a small number of standard services:

Web fonts: The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When it does, your browser contacts Google's servers, which may receive your IP address as part of that request. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
Hosting: Our hosting provider processes standard server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure.

5. Children's privacy

PixeMaker is a general-audience tool and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

6. Data security

We take reasonable measures to keep the Service secure. Because your artwork is stored locally on your own device and we handle minimal information, the risk to your data on our end is low. That said, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) — including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. If you have contacted us by email and would like that correspondence deleted, just let us know and we will handle your request.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of PixeMaker after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
